We are going to present natural, plant materials from Polish nature, used for weaving, like wood, straw, cattail, willow, roots, and many others. We will try the basic workshop together - learning by doing is the best! Mainly - we are going to weave with willow, straw or cattail (PL - rogożyna). To touch, to smell, to try, to make an experiment and also mistakes - this is a workshop for people weaving for the first time in their life. We have many years of experiences in teaching craft.

We've got here a unique collection of baskets from Poland and from all over the world. Not only ready products - also tools, materials, moulds. We've got many objects which are not weaving any more. But basketry craft which we present is alive - in our work, in our book, workshops and tales, also in our skills. CT Day 2. Discovering Cieszyn, the slow, pretty town full of crafters.

Day two is about exploring and meeting the craftsmen. Our sweet, small town Cieszyn is special - we are located on the border with the Czech Republic, a hundred years ago the town was divided between two countries. It is a perfect place for a Craft Tour Roots of Poland. The Serfenta is located on the premises of the Museum of Cieszyn Silesia, one of the oldest Museums in Central Europe. We are going to show you the town, our local cafeterias, the workshops of our friend also. We are going to visit the Czech part of the town and try local dishes from Polish and Czech part of the town.

This is an adventure with a touch of nature. Let us show you a true craftsman’s place where you can meet our masters of craft. We are going to take you for a walk to the special places in Cieszyn. Like: Museum of print history in Cieszyn, the riffle maker's place - with the only master in the world who makes riffles from Cieszyn, to the workplace of famous ceramic artisan Bogdan Kosak, and to many other places. We are going to spend the whole day walking, eating, talking with people and enjoying Cieszyn. It's a town with a river Olza and with the mountain's view on the Castle Hill. Social studies

Ethnography is a study of people’s life, their material, social, and spiritual culture. It examines people in their natural habitats: at home, at work, in their local environment.

Ethnography is also a very effective method of social studies – thanks to it, the acquired knowledge can be based on qualitative data. Ethnographic field research guarantees objectivity, an unbiased description of a situation, authenticity, deepened characterisation, and a comprehensive perspective.

Ethnography and business

The methodology of ethnographic research is focused on field research, including in-depth interviews, personal questionnaires – adjusted to individual needs, and participant observations. Basing on the collected data and analysing the acquired documents, we prepare a report.

In business, ethnographic research results can be used, for instance, to test new products or services.

Because every project is different, the research is priced individually.
