Germany, Poland, Slovakia – Study Visit
Craft, people, inspiration – all in one place for GPS project! In each country, methods of work with basketry craft are different. Thanks to the project ‘GPS – New ways for basketry crafts in Germany, Poland and Slovakia’, our friends from Germany and Slovakia had the chance to experience our way during the study visit!
Serfenta hosted the first study visit of the GPS, but it is not the end of the project!
Participants of the study visit:
🌿 took part in Craft Experience workshop (cattail and straw), a Serfenta’s way to teach basics of basketry to the wide audience.
🌿 took a part in a magical Craft Tour – a trip into the world of tradition of Polish Village in Beskidy Mountains, touching, trying and… wearing!
🌿 we spend hours together talking about the project but also about specific of our work with basketry craft – the gathering of experts
🌿 Serfenta presented their Innovation Craft Revitalisation Model and their work with basketry
🌿 visited the Theatre in Cieszyn, as a part of international experience on the PL/CZ border,
