Serfenta is the winner of prestigious Europa Nostra Award!
The Serfenta from Poland is the winner of the prestigious Europa Nostra award 2024! Our Model of Craft Revitalisation was awarded among 26 winners from 18 countries. It’s a huge success not only for Serfenta’s team, but also for the region and for the whole Poland! The award is called an Oscar, or even a Nobel of cultural heritage.
Serfenta has been operating for over fifteen years with a modern and business approach to working with the craft. The expert’s from Serfenta designed a solution in the social innovation area, they designed the change for the basketry craft.
Serfenta won the hearts of experts with the scale of building social awareness and understanding of cultural heritage. Now the team is designing solutions for the other heritage ideas.
Europa Nostra Medal in Cieszyn
Serfenta got the EUROPA NOSTRA medal of bronze, which will be embedded in the headquarters in Cieszyn Old Town. The unveiling of the medal will take place during a ceremony in the Cieszyn City Hall and on Srebrna Street. The Mayor of Cieszyn, the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship, as well as TVP 3 Katowice have assumed their honorary patronage over the event.

Europa Nostra 2024 Award Celebration organised with the patron of the event – The City Mayor
11:00 – The solemn celebration in the historical City Hall in Cieszyn with the invited guests
12:30 – The unveiling of the Europa Nostra medal on Srebrna Street, where the Serfenta’s is headquartered
13:30 – 15:00 Lunch with the support of Kamienica Konczakowskich

Serfenta’s Fest at Srebrna Street in Cieszyn – the celebration of Europa Nostra 2024
18:00 – Warm welcome near the unveiled medal by the leaders of the Serfenta Association and the representants of District Office of Cieszyn region.
16 years of Serfenta in a shortcut – ABC of Innovation Model of Craft Revitalisation and other activities
19:00 – Jazz Concert, music under the sky, connecting the Polish and Czech side of the town, refreshments during the event supported by the local Winowajcy restaurant.
21:00 Afterparty w Mufka Cafe (Srebrna Street)
