Craft education – Germany, Poland, Slovakia.

Craft education – how it is organised in each European countries? What are the best practises and solutions in Germany, Poland and Slovakia?

The project about craft education

Serfenta together with European Partners German ZEF – Zentrum europäischer Flechtkultur Lichtenfels e.V. with Slovakian Association of the Basketmakers, Združenie košikárov Slovenska, we are going to check and test different ideas and exchanging own experiences. The activities are realising during the GPS project – New ways to Basketry Craft in Germany, Poland, and Slovakia.

In the last years, Serfenta started to focus deeply on the craft experience methodology, and the results will be shared with partners. It’s important to share solutions and to inspire ourselves, because solutions can work better for Germany and another ones for Slovakia. Our goal is to know each other well, to exchange and create our common approach. Also, we are going to talk about common offer, which will strengthen our individual institutions. We are happy for the opportunity to work together, especially that we know each other well, since many already developed cooperations.

Building a strong network

Another goal of the GPS project is developing a network dedicated to the basketry, created with strong partner’s organisations from the other countries. Strong network and partnerships are keys to success inside the EU.

The project is funded within the Erasmus+ Vocational Education and Training (VET) programme and allows us to travel to all of our 3 countries to know, share and understand cores of our work.
